Multidisciplinary Center for the Study of Drowsiness and Accidents CEMSA - Multidisciplinary Center for the Study of Drowsiness and Accidents has the main mission of conducting multidisciplinary studies about drowsiness and accidents that occur with workers per shift, encompassing the areas related to them. Allied to the academic expertise of its creators, new professionals from the different health areas such as, doctors, psychologists, biologists, physiotherapists, nutritionists and physical educators, have added their knowledge to the development of various multidisciplinary studies and research linked to drowsiness and accidents. CEMSA's objective is to offer alternatives to the management policies and guidelines of work shifts, based on methodological studies applied to the staff of the partnering company, resulting in the improvement of lifestyle and quality of life of the employees, as well as in the indicators of accidents at the workplace resulting, among other aspects related to drowsiness, to sleeping disorders, biological rhythms, physical aptitude and cognitive aspects and the working schedule.
